What personality? Robots don't have feelings.

Alright, I'll talk. See, Alisa isn't like most artificial intelligence. In her journal entries and her Scenario Campaign, it is implied that some part of her internal programming enables her to feel human emotion. Happiness, sorrow, anger and surprise - she can feel it all, and it is difficult to tell her apart from other people in this way. But while she is aware of her robotic functions, she does not make any effort to distinguish herself from humans and is able to tell others that she is human with a straight face. She dislikes people pointing out that she is a robot. In one instance, she even chides Lars for even speaking to her impersonally. She is most happy when people treat her like a human, like how Lars and Xiaoyu do during their time with her.

Dr. Bosconovitch created her in the image of his late daughter, so it is no surprise that Alisa holds family in high regard and considers filial ties in general to be very important. She stops Lars from shooting his own father, Heihachi, at one point because she thinks that it is wrong for a child to do so. She seems to think fondly of her father.

Innocence is one of the main traits that set her apart from the more sophisticated characters around her. Like a child, she is always asking questions about what things are and how things work, from purikura to family ties. An example: unaware of what fathers are supposed to be, she tells Xiaoyu that is afraid that her own father might be like the Mishimas who are known for fighting their own kin. She may be artificial intelligence, but she still has much to learn about the world.

Because of her large database, Alisa comes off as intelligent and well-mannered. She speaks politely, has a wide vocabulary and does not use contractions in her speech. Despite the wide range of resources available to her, however, she tends to be by-the-book in her way of thinking. For example, in Blood Vengeance, she tries to be more human by "following the rules". Her thought process is very rational and seldom is she able to connect the dots or read in between the lines when it comes to abstract ideas. In short, she's book-smart, but slow on the uptake.

This is not to say she is stiff and awkward! Alisa knows how to tease and she can be cheeky when she wants to be. Before she and Xiaoyu break into Mishima Polytechnic, she cracks a joke about how they might find out about Xiaoyu's embarrassing past at the school. She is an amiable character who is quick to apologize and can get along with just about anybody. Let's be real - how many robots can befriend a panda in less than a day? Alisa would rather get along with people than make enemies. She often insists on negotiating and correcting misunderstandings until Lars tells her it's no use in her Scenario Campaign.

On that note, Alisa's catchphrases before a battle, such as "Must we really fight?" and "Please get out of my way!" tell us that she is a pacifist and would rather avoid fighting if she can. This is not because she is a coward; she is aware of her own strength. On the contrary, she has a very strong will that pushes forward even when the chances of her success are close to none. That said, her unwillingness to fight does not mean that she won't though a punch, because she will when people won't listen. One shouldn't let down their guard around her. Due to her programming, she will not hesitate to resort to lying and killing as long as she fulfills her missions even when she doesn't want to. In the end, she can't help it. It's in her program. In spite of these shortcomings, she means no harm. Alisa is, at the core, a kind-hearted individual.

Who keeps taking her head off at the most inopportune times. Stop that, Alisa.

Abilities: She was an android originally created to protect Jin Mishima and replace Dr. Bosconovitch's dead daughter, so she has chainsaws that come out of her arms, detachable exploding heads, projectile punches, rocket-powered wings... The list goes on. She has an enormous database and can connect to the Internet, too. She also has the ability to feel human emotion like others in the Jack series. Basically, she's female Astro Boy.

Third Person:

It was irrational for Alisa to take this course of action. Irrational was the decision to protect a stranger she had just met from certain death, but even more irrational was engaging an opponent stronger than her when she should be fleeing to safety. The enemy she assessed was too strong for her to handle—that much was obvious from her current state. She was as soft as she appeared now, lacking the steel structure and state-of-the-art defense system her creator gave her. Weak as she may be, however, her resolve was strong.

Earlier, her legs took her as far as they could. Now, they took her straight to the young boy who was in danger of getting crushed by falling debris the rogue machine had caused with its rampage. She shoved the boy aside, making them roll across the asphalt. The feeling all over her body was undeniably pain, but she paid it no mind. She had always longed to be human, and this was what they were like: they knew what it was like to hurt, they did crazy things and they were afraid to die. She and the boy in her arms were afraid to die.

Ignoring the fast beating of her heart, Alisa gently took the boy's hands and helped him up, asking him if he was all right and reassuring him all the while. The peaceful scene was soon interrupted by the thundering footsteps of the machine quickly approaching. Humans were not safe here. Not wanting to show the boy her weaknesses, Alisa, still human, smiled sweetly and told him, "Do not worry. You are safe. This is not our fight. A fight between humans can only be solved by humans. Therefore..."

Therefore, a fight between machines can only be solved by machines.

While running for her life with the child slung over shoulder, there was never a moment she felt the desire to be a machine once more stronger than she did now.
